Recording without sending a bot
In-browser extension capture as an alternative to the visible bot participant.
By default, Meetbook records by sending a visible participant — your Notetaker — into the call. Some platforms don't allow bot participants, or you may simply prefer nothing extra showing up in the participant list. The Chrome extension covers this case.
How it works
Instead of joining as a separate participant, the extension captures audio directly from your browser tab while you're already in the call. Nothing else in the meeting sees an additional participant join.
See Installing the Chrome extension to set it up, then click the extension icon and Record from inside any meeting tab.

Trade-offs
- Requires you to have the tab open and the extension running for the whole call — unlike the bot, it can't join on your behalf if you're not there.
- Captures only what your own tab hears, so it depends on your own audio setup rather than a dedicated recording participant.
- No visible "recording" indicator to other participants beyond whatever your meeting platform itself shows — see Can other participants tell a bot is recording? for the equivalent question about the bot.
