Recording from the mobile app
Live in-person or phone-call recording, background reliability notes.
The mobile app records directly through your phone's microphone — for in-person conversations, phone calls, or anywhere there's no video-call link for a bot to join. See Installing the mobile app if you haven't set it up yet.
Starting a recording
Open the app and tap Record. The recording continues even if you switch to another app, as long as you don't force-quit Meetbook — background recording relies on the OS keeping the app alive, which both iOS and Android are more aggressive about the longer a recording runs.
Keeping a long recording reliable
- Keep your phone plugged in or well-charged for long recordings — low-power mode can throttle background audio capture.
- Avoid force-quitting the app mid-recording; ending it properly from inside the app ensures the audio gets uploaded and processed.
- A weak or dropped internet connection delays the upload, not the recording itself — the audio is captured locally first and uploaded once you're back online.
After you stop recording
Processing (transcription, then the report) starts once the recording finishes uploading, the same pipeline as any other meeting — see How transcription works.
