MeetbookMeetbook Help

No audio in my recording

Silent-track diagnosis — source muted, permission denied, wrong audio device.

Empty-state message on the Recording tab: "No transcript available — not enough speech was detected in this recording"

The bot joined and recorded, but captured no sound. This is almost always something on the meeting's audio side, not a Meetbook failure.

Most common cause: the source was muted

If everyone in the meeting was muted, or the meeting itself had no active microphone (e.g. a screen-share-only session with no one speaking), there's genuinely no audio to capture.

Wrong audio device on the host's end

If the meeting host's system audio was routed to a device Meetbook's bot can't hear from (rare, mostly affects desktop-app or in-browser capture rather than the bot participant), the recording comes back silent even though people were talking.

Permission denied (Chrome extension / mobile capture only)

If you recorded via the extension or the mobile app rather than the bot joining as a participant, check that microphone/screen-recording permission was actually granted — see Microphone/screen permissions on mobile or your browser's site permissions for meetbook.app.

This keeps happening on meetings that clearly had audio

That's not expected — contact support with the meeting link and platform (Zoom, Meet, Teams) so we can investigate the specific recording. See How to contact support.
