Quick start: connect your calendar and get your first recap

Get your first automatic recap in under 10 minutes.

Connect your calendar

Go to Settings → Calendar and connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. Meetbook reads your upcoming meetings from whichever calendar you connect — you can connect both at once.

Calendar settings, showing Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar both connected, plus recording rules

Set your recording rules

Underneath your connected calendars, choose when Meetbook should auto-join:

  • Record When I'm Not the Host — join meetings someone else is running
  • Record External Meetings — meetings with people outside your organization
  • Record Internal Meetings — meetings with only your teammates
  • Only Record Confirmed Meetings — skip meetings you haven't accepted
  • Record Recurring Meetings — apply the same rule to every occurrence

All five are independent toggles — turn off whichever doesn't fit how you work.

Turn on auto-record

In Settings → Meeting, make sure Auto-record meetings is on. This is what actually sends the bot — the calendar connection alone only lets Meetbook see your schedule.

Wait for your first recap

A few minutes after your next matching meeting ends, its recording and report appear on Home and under Channels → My Meetings. If the bot didn't join, see Bot isn't joining my meeting.
