Where is my meeting data stored?
Data residency, retention period.
Meeting recordings, transcripts, and reports are stored on Meetbook's cloud infrastructure, encrypted at rest. Access to a given meeting is scoped by Channel membership — only workspace members with access to a meeting's Channel can retrieve its content.
Retention
Meeting data is retained for as long as your workspace keeps it, or until it's explicitly deleted (see Deleting a meeting and its data) or your account/workspace is removed. There's no automatic expiry that silently deletes old meetings.
Data residency for enterprise/on-premise
Workspaces on an on-premise or self-hosted deployment control their own data residency entirely, since the infrastructure runs on their own environment — see On-premise deployment overview. Standard cloud workspaces use Meetbook's managed infrastructure.
Backups
Standard backup practices apply to cloud-hosted data for disaster recovery — this is separate from, and slower than, the immediate in-app deletion described in Deleting a meeting and its data; deleting something in the app removes it from active access immediately even though backup copies clear on their own schedule afterward.
