Channel permission levels

Who can view/edit/export within a Channel.

Being a member of a Channel gives you access to the meetings inside it, but not every member necessarily has the same level of control.

View

Every Channel member can open meetings in that Channel — see the recording, transcript, report, and use Chat against them.

Edit

Editing covers things like renaming a speaker (see A speaker is mislabeled — how to fix it), adding action items, or regenerating a report. Whether every member can do this or it's restricted to whoever manages the Channel depends on how the Channel is configured.

Export / delivery

Exporting a meeting or setting up delivery integrations (Slack, Notion, CRM sync — see Integrations) scoped to a Channel typically sits with whoever manages that Channel, since it affects where the Channel's data flows externally.

This is separate from workspace roles

Channel-level permissions control access to a specific set of meetings; workspace-level roles (Admin vs. Employee — see Roles and permissions) control workspace-wide actions like billing and integrations. A workspace Admin isn't automatically a member of every Channel — Channel membership is still separate from being an Admin.
