Turning voiceprint recognition on or off
Per-tenant toggle, consent implications, deleting stored voiceprints.
Voiceprint recognition is a workspace-wide setting, not a per-meeting or per-user one — see What is voiceprint recognition? if you haven't read the overview yet.
Turning it on
Only a workspace Admin can enable it, from the workspace-level settings. Once on, it applies to future meetings recorded by anyone in the workspace — existing recordings aren't retroactively re-processed.
Consent
Because voiceprints are biometric data, turning this on has real consent implications, especially for recurring external participants who never explicitly agreed to be voice-fingerprinted. Check what's required in your jurisdiction (some regions, like Illinois' BIPA, have specific biometric-data consent laws) before enabling it — this is a decision an admin should make deliberately, not a default to leave on without thinking about it.
Turning it off
Disabling it stops new voice matching going forward. Existing stored voiceprints aren't automatically deleted just by turning the feature off — to remove them, contact support and ask for stored voiceprint data to be deleted, or see Deleting a meeting and its data for the equivalent flow on ordinary meeting data.
