Transferring workspace ownership

Ownership handoff process.

If the Admin managing a workspace needs to hand it off — leaving the company, changing roles — ownership can be transferred to another member rather than leaving the workspace without anyone in control.

Transferring

From Settings → Workspace, an existing Admin can promote another member to Admin — see Roles and permissions. A workspace can have more than one Admin at a time, so this doesn't have to be an exclusive handoff; add a second Admin first if you want overlap before stepping back yourself.

Before removing yourself

Make sure at least one other Admin exists before removing your own Admin access or leaving the workspace — a workspace with zero Admins can't manage billing, integrations, or membership until someone is promoted, which requires existing Admin access to do in the first place.

Leaving a workspace entirely

Once ownership is settled, leave the same way any member would — from your account menu, or ask another Admin to remove you. This is different from deleting your account, which affects every workspace you belong to, not just one.
